Road number 56 765 of the GDR Reichsbahn is absolutely unique. It was created in June 1939 by the DRG converting the ex-Prussian G 8.1 (DRG 55 4131) in order to improve the running characteristics of the four-coupler with a Bissel frame running in front and to increase the speed to 70 km/h. After the Second World War, she remained with the DR of the GDR and served in the 1960s at the Heringsdorf depot on the island of Usedom in passenger and freight transport. There she was even exceptionally fitted with smoke deflectors because of the sometimes strong wind from the sea. The inscription "Lok Brigade Fritz Reuter" shows the special care taken of the locomotive by this brigade and is reminiscent of the 19th-century Low German writer and democrat Fritz Reuter.
