1st class passenger car Avmmz 106 of the DB AG. Epoch VI
Novelty for 2023: after 40 years of IC connections in Germany, the rolling stock was a mixed bag. With the "IC mod." project, DB AG wanted to put an end to this situation and had some model conversions carried out from 2009 onwards. From 2012, series conversion began in the repair shops in Kassel, Neumünster and Nuremberg, with the cars receiving a new interior according to the ICE standard, new doors, air conditioning and wiring. In contrast to the original, PIKO relies on a completely new design for the modernized IC Car. The vehicles were precisely implemented on a scale of 1:87 and impress with the finest engravings and flush-mounted windows. The interior is reproduced in great detail and is in no way inferior to the original. The bogies also impress with many details, such as individually applied spring assemblies, magnetic brakes or replica brake discs on the axles. It's also worth taking a look under the car. Machinery, battery compartments and all supply lines have been recreated with great attention to detail. The first class car is of course prepared for the uncomplicated retrofitting of interior lighting.
