Articulated tank car "Esso" of the FS, epoch V
New for 2021: Pressure variant of the "Esso" articulated tank wagon, discontinued on the FS in the Era V version. The boiler was constructed in such a way that the two halves of the boiler incline by 3 ¡ë towards the middle. This is why the contents of the boiler, mainly mineral oil products, flow off almost completely without any further aids. Since the lightweight steel vehicles are suitable for higher speeds, they were soon also procured by other companies across Europe. These wagons can be found as P (= private) wagons in the inventory of all European railway companies.
