Freight train steam locomotive BR 041 DB, epoch IV
With digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Regulated high-performance drive with a flywheel in the boiler. 4 axles powered. Traction tires. Locomotive and tender largely made of metal. Set up for smoke generator 7226. Triple headlights that change over with the direction of travel and that can be retrofitted with a conventional smoke generator, can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white light-emitting diodes (LED) are used for lighting. Track coupling with kinematics between locomotive and tender that can be adjusted based on the track radius. At the rear of the tender and at the front of the locomotive, a kinematics-guided close coupling with an NEM shaft. Passable minimum radius 360 mm. Piston rod protection tubes, brake hoses and screw coupling imitations are included.
Length over the buffers 27.5 cm.
Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 041 freight train steam locomotive with a tender and coal firing. Conversion version with new high-performance boiler, coal tender 2´2´T34, Witte smoke deflectors, DB reflective glass lamps, one-sided Indusi and buffer plate warning coating. Road number 041 282-5. Operating condition around 1969/70.
