With the completely new construction of the BR 185, PIKO is fulfilling the desire of many model railroaders for a contemporary model of this modern locomotive series. The striking proportions of the prototype were perfectly scaled and transferred to the model. are testament to modern toolmaking and manufacturing techniques. With its two finely balanced centrifugal masses, the powerful mid-engine ensures excellent driving characteristics and traction, which is further supported by two diagonally arranged traction tires.
