The PIKO model of the 111 series in the classic ocean blue-beige color scheme of the Federal Railroad in epoch IV corresponds exactly to its chosen model and precisely reproduces all relevant details such as lamps, windows, buffers, sockets, engine room equipment, etc. of the original. The model convinces with the finest paintwork and printing, attached front and handle bars as well as fine wipers, filigree pantographs and isolators. The cab lighting and the taillights can be controlled digitally. The locomotive has engine room lighting. The proven, five-pole PIKO motor in combination with large, precisely dimensioned flywheels ensures excellent running properties. In order to guarantee high tractive forces, the model has two traction tires which are arranged diagonally on the axles running on both bogies. The PIKO BR 111 has a tidy board with a PluX22 interface. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, the locomotive is also prepared for simple retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker. Brake hoses for retrofitting are included.
