50' Standard Box Car with 8' Plug Door, No Roofwalk, and Short Ladders, Union Pacific #499090
This 50' standard box car with 8' plug door, no roofwalk and short ladders is brown with white lettering and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Originally of series 8001-8040, this box car had its roofwalk removed and was renumbered into the 60401-60440 series in the late 1970s. It features the classic Feather River Route herald popular in the early 1900s.
