Electric locomotive BR 112 TEE (ex Rheingold) of the DB, epoch IV

The E10 belongs to the family of standard locomotives and was built for the German Federal Railroad from 1952. The four-axle machines were initially used in high-quality travel in front of express and express trains. For the locomotives of the Rheingold, a new streamlined locomotive body was designed in 1962, which was also used in the series machines from E10 288. The kink at the front gave the locomotive its nickname “crease”. From then on, the locomotives were run as E10.3 on the Deutsche Bundesbahn. From the 1990s, the range of applications for the locomotive, known as the 110 series from 1968, shifted towards local transport. Many machines were therefore equipped with push-pull train controls. With the E10.3 with a continuous fan belt, Hobbytrain completes the series of the well-known and popular classic of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. Our model has a powerful motor with a flywheel, a white / red light change and filigree pantographs.
