The #153 is interchangeable with the #23, #33, #143, and most manufacturer's Short Centerset OEM knuckle couplers. For a #33 equivalent use the #153 in a #252 Gearbox.

It is not recommended to use a metal coupler directly on a metal surface or in a metal draft gearbox to avoid possible electrical crossover and shorting that may cause damage. For insulated couplers use the #23 coupler.

連結面間距離の短縮等を目的として、KATO のワム80000、ワム90000、トラ45000、ヨ5000、ホキ2200、タキ43000、スハフ14、オハフ15、オハネフ25、カニ24等の既存カプラーと交換しました。
機関車との連結開放作業を目的として、天賞堂のスハフ43、スハフ32、マニ36、スユ13、オユ12等の既存カプラーと交換しました。
交換は簡単に出来ました。
