The ICE has a grinder under both end carts. Due to the factory-installed multiprotocol decoder with a slider change-over, the motor is always supplied with current by the respective leading grinder. If the motor runs into a current-free section, the motor is switched off, but the front lighting remains lit, and a change in driving direction is still possible.
A start-up from the currentless cut-off is effected either by switching the signal to "green", or by changing the driving direction of the ICE 3.
